Man pulled from Gardner’s Falls

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after he nearly drowned at a popular waterfall and swimming spot in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
An ambulance was called to Gardners Falls, off Obi Lane South in Maleny, shortly before 2pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was still being assessed by paramedics at 2.35pm. By 2.45pm he was being taken in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Gardners Falls is part of the Obi Obi Creek in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. A large rockpool under the falls is a popular spot for swimmers.
