The world will be a sad and lonely place when the final supernova puts an end to an already unrecognisable universe.
That’s according to Illinois State University theoretical physicist Dr Matt Caplan at least.
His new work calculates how dead stars could change over the upcoming eons and provides a different picture of the end of the world.
