Masks scrapped after two weeks of COVID-19 restrictions
Queenslanders are breathing a sigh of relief as they wake to their first day of eased restrictions and no mask mandate, two weeks after a snap three-day lockdown.
For the last two weeks, in an effort to curb any community transmission of COVID-19 following an outbreak from the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queenslanders have been required to wear face masks in a number of indoor settings, including at shopping centres, at gyms, in restaurants and cafes, and on public transport.
As of 6am on Thursday they are no longer mandatory at any place…
