Thirty Australians are stranded in San Francisco, claiming to have been abandoned by their airline and their home country after a plane malfunction foiled their hopes of getting home in time for Christmas. It comes just a day after the Prime Minister said he was making “good progress” with bringing people home before the end of the year.
