severe storms forecast for southeast Queensland

Southeast Queensland is bracing for severe storms on Tuesday with large hail and damaging winds expected to hit the sunshine state.
It comes just days after heavy rain and strong winds lashed Melbourne and Sydney, with the Victorian State Emergency Service receiving 372 calls for assistance on Sunday and Monday.
Sky News Meteorologist Rob Sharpe said the storms would pick up on Tuesday afternoon with a southerly change running into southeast Queensland.
“As it does that there’s the potential for storm activity over the centre and the southeast,” he said.
“It is a chance of damaging winds and large hail in particular with the storms (on Tuesday), most likely over the inland and maybe at the Sunshine Coast.”
