Woolworths appoints chief medical officer to tackle COVID-19

Woolworths will announce its first chief medical officer on Friday in a bid to protect staff and customers from coronavirus with his first task focused on the issue of masks.It comes after the supermarket giant “strongly encouraged” its customers to cover their faces while buying groceries in NSW, ACT and parts of Queensland earlier this month.
Coles and Kmart also made the same recommendation to shoppers buying items in NSW.
