Woolworths appoints chief medical officer to tackle COVID-19

Woolworths will announce its first chief medical officer today in a bid to protect staff and customers from coronavirus including creating a national policy on masks or shields.Dr Rob McCartney will take on the role and have direct input to the Woolworths board executives, while shaping policies that will ensure the ongoing safety of the Woolworths community as the nation continues to navigate COVID-19.
His first task will reportedly be to develop a nationwide policy for face coverings.
