Woman dies at Coolum Beach after swimming with daughter

A woman has died while swimming in rough surf at a popular southeast Queensland beach in a tragic start to the sunshine state’s school holidays.
It’s understood the 34-year-old was swimming with her daughter at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast on Monday morning before surfers pulled her to shore and began administering CPR.
Emergency services were called at 7.15am.
