Westpac expects house prices to surge 15 per cent in late 2021

Economists at one of Australias largest banks anticipate property prices will start to surge in late 2021 despite an expected rise in vacancy rates due to weak immigration. Back in March, Westpac’s chief economist Bill Evans and senior economist Matthew Hassahad predicted the national average dwelling price would fall 10 per cent between April this year and June next year.
