Westpac believes Reserve Bank will cut the interest rate to 0.1 per cent on October 6
Westpac has placed its bets that the Reserve Bank of Australia will cut interest rates in October to stimulate the economy while financial pressures from the pandemic persist. The major bank’s chief economist Bill Evans is predicting the RBA will slash the official interest rate by 15 basis points on October 6 at its next monetary policy meeting.
It is the same day the Morrison Government is expected to deliver the Federal Budget, which will detail further fiscal measures to support the economy…
