Victorian travellers in van fined $24k for trying to cross Qld border

A group of Victorian tourists have been hit with $24,000 in fines after they tried to cross the Queensland border after making false declarations about where they’d been.
Queensland Police pulled over the mini-van on Saturday night and refused entry to all six occupants at the border control checkpoint on the M1.
