Victoria bird flu outbreak: Second strain of avian influenza detected in turkeys

Two turkeys in Victoria have tested positive to a second strain of bird flu.Agriculture Victoria said the turkeys were at a property within the existing restricted area at Lethbridge, and another near Bairnsdale.
The farm at Lethbridge has been under movement restrictions and regular surveillance after cases of H7N7 avian influenza were detected at two free-range egg farms in the Golden Plains Shire in the last fortnight.
The latest cases have tested positive to low pathogenic H5N2.
