US oil giant Chevron fights Australian fuel retailer over iconic Caltex signs

US oil giant Chevron is angry Ampol continues to use its iconic Caltex brand at service stations, claiming it is being misused, but the Australian petrol retailer says it still has time under a phase-out plan.The Ampol brand was retired 25 years ago when the company teamed up with the Houston-based energy producer to create Caltex Australia.
