Up to 250mm of rainfall expected

North Queensland is bracing for isolated falls of up to 250mm on Monday after tropical cyclone Imogen made landfall late Sunday night.
While the system is expected to weaken to a tropical low on Monday, hundreds of homes and businesses have been left without power and roads are closed as flash flooding and damaging wind warnings remain active for the Gulf Country.
It comes after heavy falls on Sunday in which Normanton Airport received 263mm in 24 hours, 186mm of which fell in just six hours.
