Unemployment rises as restrictions hurt economy’s recovery

The countrys unemployment levels have worsened due to stage 4 restrictions in Victoria denting the nations jobs recovery. Australia’s official unemployment figure for the month of September has risen from 6.8 to 6.9 per cent, driven by a drop in the number of Victorians employed following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
