Two charged with weapons, drug offences at Coolangatta

Two people will face court after allegedly attempting to cross the Queensland border with a hoard of weapons and drugs.
Officers stopped the Holden Colorado as it tried to enter the Miles St checkpoint in Coolangatta at 1am on Thursday.
A firearm was located under the driver’s seat as they searched the vehicle.
Bodycam footage from one of the officers reveals a number of drug utensils and $100 notes stashed in the back of the ute.
