Twitter strike system will ban users who post COVID vaccine misinformation
Social media platform Twitter will introduce a new five strike system to combat misinformation, with a particular focus on COVID-19 vaccinations.In December, Twitter said “during the coming weeks” it would “begin to label tweets that contain potentially misleading information about the vaccines”.
While technically correct, that statement itself was potentially misleading and “coming months” would have been more accurate, but the company announced on Monday it would now start adding those labels.
