Transport Workers’ Union says Qantas is raking in government money with no strings attached

The Transport Workers Union has slammed the Morrison governments decision to extend funding assistance to Qantas despite the airline axing more than 8500 jobs since the start of the pandemic. The TWU has renewed its attacks against the flying kangaroo in light of the federal government’s decision to extend financial support to the domestic aviation industry until March while it recovers from the financial turmoil of COVID-19.
