Thunderstorms, damaging winds to hit coast
Southeast Queensland is in for a soggy long weekend as a trough brings damaging winds and thunderstorms to the coast.
Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast will see some patchy rainfall overnight before thunderstorms roll in on Saturday afternoon.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Jonty Hall said it was the latest in a pattern of unusual weather behaviour.
