Mal Meninga emphatically denied Cameron Smith was on the Gold Coast Titans’ radar during the Fox League season launch on Thursday.
But Meninga, the Titans head of culture and performance, raised eyebrows with a very specific dollar-figure as he deflected questions on rugby leagues most popular rumour.
The Smith-Titans link grew stronger this week when he was pictured training on a field on the Gold Coast, just a suburb away from the Titans home base in Robina.
