Teenager in Cairns court over sexual assault charges
A teenage boy has been charged with sexual assault after an early morning attack on a woman 12 years older than him.
Police allege the 14-year-old approached a 26-year-old woman he did not know at 1.45am on Saturday as she was walking along McLeod St, Cairns.
The boy allegedly grabbed the woman, before assaulting her while she struggled and screamed.
Motorists stopped to assist the woman and called police.
