A “fit, healthy” teenager on a school trip to New York died after telling teachers she felt tired and had a blocked nose, an inquest has heard.

A teenager who died from sepsis on a school trip to New York could have been saved by antibiotics, a UK inquest has heard.
Ana Uglow, 17, collapsed in her hotel room and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West hospital on December 19, 2019.
Avon Coroner’s Court in Bristol heard that Ana, a senior prefect at Bristol Grammar School who aspired to attend Oxford University, was on a school history trip to Washington, Philadelphia and New York at the time.
