Tasmanian senator Jacqui Lambie’s solution to youth crime

Unruly youths should be ordered to complete national service or military-style boot camps to break the back of repeat offending, Tasmania senator Jacqui Lambie says.
Her comments follow the tragic deaths of a Queensland couple, who were hit and killed by a teenager allegedly driving a stolen car while walking their dogs.
Senator Lambie told Today she was “terribly concerned” that the perpetrator had been on bail when the crime occurred and warned that more lives would be lost if there weren’t changes.
