Storm warning before heatwave brings SEQ toward 40 degrees

Bureau meteorologist Felim Hanniffy said the “very hot” conditions would be experienced from Saturday to Tuesday.
“[Expect] daytime maxes anywhere from five to 10 degrees above average,” he said.
“In conjunction with this overnight mins will be very warm in these areas as well – so little respite overnight.”

“It looks like it peaks on Monday and then we’ll have a southerly change moving through at some stage later [on] Tuesday and Wednesday.”
