Southport man charged over drugs, weapon charges

A Gold Coast man has been charged on a string of drug and weapons charges after he attempted to enter Queensland earlier this month.
Official police video shows the 31-year-old Southport man being intercepted at the border checkpoint on the Gold Coast Highway at Bilinga shortly after midnight on August 18.
In a statement, Queensland Police said it was alleged officers seized an ammunition belt with shotgun shells the man was wearing, as well as a quantity of methylamphetamine.
