Sinkhole at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
Shoppers are literally facing the nightmare before Christmas after a sinkhole opened up outside a major Gold Coast shopping centre, causing massive traffic delays.
Police are diverting vehicles through the carpark at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre at Broadbeach, one of, if not, the most popular retail centres on the Gold Coast.
The sinkhole opened up just before 6am after a water main burst in the northern lanes of Sunshine Boulevard at Broadbeach, police said.
