Shocking toll of family violence on kids laid bare in new report
One in 50 Victorian children has witnessed a family violence incident, according to a new study based on police call-outs.And almost eight in 10 children exposed to a family violence incident become involved with the justice system within five years, either as a victim or offender.
The Crime Statistics Agency report, unveiled on Wednesday, uses five years of Victoria Police data to provide a first look at children exposed to family violence.
