Shocking pictures of fire-ravaged Fraser Island scorched by eight-week blaze

It’s taken some two months for calm to be restored to fire-ravaged Fraser Island, although it appears too little too late for the heavily scarred heritage-listed isle.
Aerial views show the devastation caused by the eight-week blaze, which has scorched some 87,000 hectares or about half the island.
Native wildlife populations are believed to have been severely impacted, according to a local animal welfare group.
