Scott Morrison thanks Annastacia Palaszczuk for hosting more returning Australians

The Queensland Premier said she was “heartbroken” to hear so many stories about Australians stranded overseas, as she announced her state would house an extra 500 returning expats a week by early next month.
By October 4, a total of 1000 Australians will arrive and quarantine in Queensland. Most will be housed in Brisbane, but Annastacia Palaszczuk has floated the possibility of setting up quarantine hubs in Cairns and possibly Gladstone.
