Redlands private security amid youth crime spree

Southeast Queenslanders in at least 15 streets are so fed up with a spike in youth crime they have contracted a private security firm to patrol the streets after dark.
MSE Security is now offering community residential patrol services in Raby Bay and surrounding areas in the Redlands for $5 a street, with a number of residents signing up for a trial.
The streets are not far from Alexandra Hills, where a 17-year-old allegedly stole a car before hitting Kate Leadbetter, Matty Field and their unborn child on Australia Day.
