Record ban angers footy world after sickening injury turns uncomfortable

One of the most horrific injuries to happen to a footballer in Australia has become an uncomfortable, sad point of contention in the AFLW. A tribunal hearing on Tuesday evening handed Crows star Ebony Marinoff the biggest ban in league history for the incident that left Giant Brid Stack with a fractured neck.
A three week ban for the tackle during the Crows’ pre-season clash with the Giants on Sunday means Marinoff will miss one third of the nine-game season.
