Queensland police investigating after needles found in Woolworths strawberries

Two years after the Queensland strawberry industry was brought to its knees by fruit tampering, a Logan man claims to have found needles in a punnet of the fruit.
Police are investigating after two needles were found in punnets of strawberries sold at Meadowbrook Woolworths, in Brisbane’s southern suburbs, resulting in staff pulling all stock from shelves on Thursday night.
Both punnets are now being investigated after a Meadowbrook dad raised the alarm.
