Queensland and NSW wild weather: ‘It’s not over yet’
The wild weather lashing southeast Queensland and northern NSW isn’t over yet, with fears some parts could be overrun with flash flooding.
Despite heavy falls overnight, the Gold Coast could get an additional 300mm in the next 24 hours.
With another high tide expected at 9am on Tuesday, the council is preparing for the worst.
Mayor Tom Tate said the council was conducting flood modelling to ensure it was ready to deploy staff in the event evacuations were required.
