Qld records three new COVID-19 cases
Restrictions will be imposed on the Gold Coast after a new cluster grew overnight, after three people in their 30s tested positive for COVID-19 overnight.
It comes as 21,653 tests were carried out in the 24 hours to Friday morning. There are now 20 active cases in the state.
All new cases are linked to the prison officer trainer at the Queensland Corrective Services Academy trainer who tested positive yesterday. Two are based at Pimpama and one is from Forest Lake.
