Qld premier makes final pitch for AFL grand final
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has made her final pitch to the AFL for the sunshine state to host the 2020 grand final.
The AFL Commission is set to make a decision about the location for this year’s event on Tuesday, with an announcement expected on Wednesday.
There are reports it is considered “almost certain” the Gabba will hold a 7pm grand final on October 24.
Ms Palaszczuk said she had her fingers crossed.
