Qld man found dead in Rosslyn Bay after falling overboard
A man has tragically died after falling off a boat in a central Queensland bay.
Emergency services spent the night combing the waters of Rosslyn Bay, near Yeppoon, after reports a man had fallen overboard about 11pm on Saturday.
The Yeppoon Coast Guard and a rescue helicopter were deployed during the search.
Just after 1am on Sunday, the man’s body was located near the shoreline.
The 40-year-old man, from River Ranch near Gladstone, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Investigations are continuing.
