Qld fisherman saved after falling overboard from ‘uncontrollable’ boat

A fisherman has been rescued and his boat returned to shore after he fell overboard and his tinny spun uncontrollably on a busy central Queensland waterway.
The 73-year-old Gladstone man was fishing on the Calliope River on Sunday when he fell overboard after the boat was rocked by the wave of another vessel about 11am.
The man suffered a hand injury caused by the motor’s blades when he tried to get back on-board, as his tinny began circling out of control.
