Q&A on COVID vaccine: Why coronavirus jab isn’t mandatory for aged care workers

A Liberal MP has been accused of making a ridiculous excuse for why the COVID-19 vaccine isnt mandatory for aged care workers after the government said it is still too early to make it a requirement. In response to a Q&A audience question about why the jab wasn’t required on Thursday night, health expert Jane Halton said it was “surprising that it isn’t mandatory”.
Liberal MP Katie Allen agreed, saying: “We know flu vaccines are mandatory in aged care and I thought COVID should be as well.”
