PSPA issued as fire burns out of control
Police have issued an emergency declaration, with residents near Cooktown urged to leave immediately as a large, dangerous and uncontrolled fire burns near Ironwood Ave and Oaky Creek Rd.
Queensland fire and Emergency Services have told anyone near Ironwood Ave and Oakey Creek Rd to leave the area immediately with the fire travelling on both sides of Oaky Creek Rd.
