Police find woman dead, man missing on Gold Coast
A woman has died and a man is missing after a late night swim on the Gold Coast went tragically wrong.
The pair, who were known to each other, were seen entering the water at Broadbeach at 9.20pm on Thursday.
The woman was found unresponsive along the beach at 10.15pm, when emergency services were called to the scene, before declaring her deceased.
With the assistance of Rescue 500, police commenced a search and rescue operation, however the man could not be located.
