Viewers sent revolting messages to Peter Vlandys saying they hoped he dropped dead and that his children got cancer in the minutes after a TV program he claims portrayed him as allowing sickening cruelty to retired racehorses aired, a court has heard.The “firestorm” of abuse sent to the Racing NSW chief executive forms the backbone of his Federal Court defamation case against the national broadcaster, and was revealed on Wednesday as the hearing began.
