The 2021 Academy Awards hasn’t been without its controversies this year.
One imagines even the Oscars’ producers thought Chadwick Boseman was going to win Best Actor, probably why they placed the category last.
That would’ve been a celebratory moment.
Instead, Anthony Hopkins, off the back of his surprise BAFTAs win for his role in The Father won over Boseman.
No shade to Hopkins, who is very, very good in that film.
And Hopkins wasn’t even there, or at the London satellite event. Last we heard, he was visiting his late father’s grave in Wales:
