NSW Health detects COVID-19 fragments in two of state’s sewage networks
Coronavirus fragments have been detected in two sewer systems in NSW, health authorities have revealed.In its daily update on COVID-19 cases, NSW Health flagged the detection of the virus fragments in the Allambie Heights and Merimbula sewer systems, which collectively service about 100,000 people.
No new locally acquired cases of coronavirus were recorded within the state of NSW overnight to 8pm, while one new case was detected in hotel quarantine.
