NRL round 14: Joel Thompson reveals tongue injury after loss to Newcastle Knights
Warning: Graphic.Manly Sea Eagles forward Joel Thompson has suffered a horrific tongue injury during Sunday’s loss to the Newcastle Knights.
Following the two-point defeat at McDonald Jones Stadium, teammate Curtis Sironen posted an image of Thompson to his Instagram — the 31-year-old’s tongue was split in half, with a healthy amount of blood smeared around his lips.
Sironen captioned the image: “He’s tough the old bush goat.”
