Newmarket construction centre damaged in fire

Traffic delays were on Thursday morning expected for a major north Brisbane thoroughfare after a massive blaze broke out at a childcare centre construction site.
Eight crews battled the blaze at the site next to Newmarket State School for almost two hours on Wednesday night until they got the flames under control.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said crews were called to the corner of Banks St and Enoggera Rd at 11pm on Wednesday, and the 32 firefighters brought the blaze…
