Newcastle Knights deny alleged racial slur on Gold Coast’s Tyrone Peachey

Gold Coast Titans player Tyrone Peachey remains adamant he was subjected to an alleged racial slur during Friday evenings NRL match, despite a denial from the Newcastle Knights.Fox League microphones picked up audio of the incident in the second half of Gold Coast’s 36-6 victory, in which Peachey told referee Gerard Sutton, “That backrower just called me a black c***”.
Although Sutton recommended he make an official complaint, the 29-year-old opted not to, and the game continued.
