New laws to allow alcohol to be sold with takeaway meals

South Australians looking to enjoy a glass of wine with their takeaway food may no longer need to make a stop to the bottle-o on the way home. The state government will introduce new, permanent laws to allow bars, clubs and restaurants to deliver alcohol with meals.
Under the legislation, licensees will be able to sell either two bottles of wine, or one bottle of wine and a six-pack of beer, cider or pre-mixed spirits with takeaway food.
