New Farm house party broken up by police during lockdown

Queensland Police were forced to break up a house party in the Brisbane suburb of New Farm on Saturday on the city’s first day of lockdown.
But Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said “compliance had been exemplary” as the state followed its “handing out masks instead of fines” approach to policing the lockdown.
He said police had handed out 700 masks — which were made compulsory in Greater Brisbane — since Friday afternoon.
