The Queensland Firebirds have opened an urgent investigation and vowed to support West Coast player Verity Charles after a club supporter spat at the Fever star in Brisbane.Charles reported being verbally abused by four women at Southbank on Saturday night – one wearing a Firebirds supporters shirt – with another allegedly spitting on the ground in front of her.
