Missing Queensland child could be on island

There are concerns for the safety of a missing high school student who could be visiting a Queensland island.
The 13-year-old from Wellington Point, some 23km east of Brisbane, was last seen around 1.30pm on Monday.
It’s believed the boy is “staying with associates in the local area” and possibly visiting the Coochiemudlo area, police said in a statement on Wednesday.
Coochiemudlo is an island in Redland Bay and about 13km southeast of Wellington Point.
The boy is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 175cm tall with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair in a mullet style.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 131 444.
